I'm Walking 35km to Cure Mito in The Bloody Long Walk!

This November I’m walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk to raise funds for the Mito Foundation.

This is a personal cause for me as in 2019, my mum lost her vision and was diagnosed with LHON, a rare form of mitochondrial disease. There’s currently no cure, and every day she faces challenges most of us can barely imagine. 

Mito robs the body’s cells of energy, and depending on which cells are affected, it can cause vision loss, organ failure, and other life-changing complications. It can strike anyone, at any age. 

Walking 35km will be tough, but it’s nothing compared to what my mum, and thousands of others living with mitochondrial diseases go through every single day. 

Every dollar raised will help fund vital research into treatments and, one day, a cure. If you’re able to sponsor me, it would mean the world!
