We are walking 35km for Oliver and to help cure Mito!
We are walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk to help Australians living with mitochondrial disease,
Oliver was just 6 years old when he passed away at home, surrounded by his parents, and cocooned in love.
Oliver was diagnosed with Pearson's Syndrome at 8 months old, Pearson's syndrome- a rare type of mitochondrial disease.
We walk in the memory of beautiful Oliver- and raise money and awareness to help find a cure for Mito.
We know we will cross the finish line exhausted and blistered, but that’s nothing compared to what people with mitochondrial disease (mito) go through every day of their lives.
Mito robs the body’s cells of energy, causing multiple organ dysfunction or failure. It can affect anyone at any age.
Please sponsor our walk to fund research into desperately needed treatments and cures for this devastating disease.
Every dollar will make a difference!
Our 35km walk will be bloody tough, but with your support, we know we can do it.
THANK YOU!
