I'm Walking 35km to Cure Mito in The Bloody Long Walk!
This August, I’m taking on The Bloody Long Walk, a 35km trek from Palm Beach to Manly to raise vital funds and awareness for Mitochondrial Disease (Mito).
Our beautiful daughter Isabella lives with an ultra-rare genetic mitochondrial condition. Mitochondrial disease (mito) is a lifelong condition that affects the body's ability to produce energy and can impact multiple organs and systems. Before the age of 2 and a half, Isabella had already suffered two metabolic strokes. Since then, she has faced ongoing medical challenges including hospital stays, multiple weekly therapies, and daily struggles that no child should have to endure. Despite everything, she continues to show incredible strength, determination and joy.
Every dollar raised goes directly to the Mito Foundation to fund life-changing research and support families just like ours.
