We're walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk!
Troy and Sunny are walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk. It is from Coolum to Mooloolaba. Money raised is to help Australians living with mitochondrial disease.
We know we’ll cross the finish line exhausted and blistered, but that’s nothing compared to what people with mitochondrial disease (mito) go through every day of their lives.
The two of us are also doing the walk to share a challenging experience together. Sunny is completing her right of passage journey at school and this is a big part of that.
We also just like doing things together as a father and daughter and wish more people would do the same.
Mito robs the body’s cells of energy, causing multiple organ dysfunction or failure. It can affect anyone at any age.
