Join us walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk!
Our team are walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk to help Australians living with mitochondrial disease, a cause very close to our directors Joel & Sarah's hearts.
Joel & Sarah's youngest daughter Maeve was diagnosed with a rare Mitochondrial disease in 2017 and that lead to a need for more awareness and much needed funds. The Hood family and their business have now fundraised in excess of $180,000 for the MITO foundation and participate in The Bloody Long Walk each year. The Hood's advocacy also assisted in leading to the passing of the Mitochondrial Bill in parliament in 2022 and was named "Maeve's Law".
We know we’ll cross the finish line exhausted and blistered, but that’s nothing compared to what people with mitochondrial disease (mito) go through every day of their lives.
