Glad they changed the route!
I made yesterday's training walk a short one, because I'd had enough of hills. I'm really - really! - glad the route has been changed from those "Valley of Hell" stairs through the Hallett Cove Conservation Park.Still trying to find good socks :)
I'm Walking 35km to Cure Mito in The Bloody Long Walk!
I'm walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk to help Australians living with mitochondrial disease.
That’s 46,200 steps in one day!
I know I’ll cross the finish line exhausted but - I hope! - not blistered. All of that is nothing compared to what people with mitochondrial disease (mito) go through every day of their lives.
Mito robs the body’s cells of energy, causing multiple organ dysfunction or failure. It can affect anyone at any age.
Please sponsor my walk to fund research into desperately needed treatments and cures for this devastating disease.
I know that every good cause is just that, a good cause. This one is personally dear to my extended family, so please know that your every dollar will be gratefully received and that it will make a difference!
My 35km walk will be bloody tough, but with your support, I know I can do it. (Send lots of good training advice, please. And your best ideas for socks that will last the distance!!)
THANK YOU!
