Mitch and Maddy are walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk #doitfordot
Recently I received some heart breaking news from a very special friend of Mitch and I, her 4 month old daughter Dot, who I was honoured to help deliver her into this world as her student midwife, has been diagnosed with mitochondrial disease.
On Nov 3rd, Mitch and I are walking 35km in The Bloody Long Walk to help Australians like Dot living with mitochondrial disease.
I know we will cross the finish line exhausted and blistered, but that’s nothing compared to what people with mitochondrial disease (mito) go through every day of their lives. Mito robs the body’s cells of energy, causing multiple organ dysfunction or failure. It can affect anyone at any age.
Please sponsor our walk to fund research into desperately needed treatments and cures for this devastating disease.
Every dollar will make a difference!
